Our current artist in residence, John Hart from Canberra, Australia. Started this series during COVID lockdowns and was put aside once the lockdowns lifted. Although making very different work now, decided to finish these in early 2024 as it seemed a waste to have spent so much time on them and not to see them through
Since 2018 John has focused on his painting practice, taking commissions and developing new work while continuing to teach all forms of printmaking, drawing, watercolour, and oil painting.
Current Obsession ( Batteries) are watercolour + pencil drawings of dead batteries, painted at 1:5 scale.
